Description: Gaido has grey somewhat shaggy hair. He.has a pale completion and an angular face. He's well toned but not very built. Around the people of kumogakure he wears a friendly smile and benevolent gaze. Should you catch him in a more serious setting though and you'd be lucky to find any notable emotion on his face.

Likes: Competition, virtue, and dedication are qualities that the Raikage seeks.
It's also commonly known that Gaido enjoys spending his time with the students of the village.
Dislikes: Above all else Gaido despises those that prey on the weak.
Hobbies(Optional):teaching the future generation.
Fears:Loss of his villagers, he tends to be protective of shinobi and villagers alike.

Personality: Amongst the villagers he's seen as a sagacious father-like figure treating every villager as if they were kin. However when the village is threatened he shifts into the calculated killer he once was trained to be. Competition is the core of Gaido's being so he always encourages sport amongst his subordinates.

Clan:

Personal history: Gaido began his life as a shinobi in the hidden mist village as an orphan. Gaido never knew his parents, as they died in an attack coordinated by the mist village. Of course this information was withheld from the children that were took that night, as those deemed too young to be hostile were to be trained as mist shinobi. Gaido and twenty other children in his group were prepared from the time they could walk for the genin stage. The program was rigorous but all of the survivors became excellent shinobi.

Not five years after becoming a genin, Gaido's competitive nature had propelled him to achieve the rank of jounin. He would not settle for that though, for he had always wished to become one of the seven swordsman of the mist. It was this goal that pushed him to succeed, and ironically it would be this goal that showed him the truth.

One short year after his rise to a successful jounin career, Gaido would take the place of a fallen SSM member. From the start the oldest member Raiga seemed to have a grudge against him, but Gaido decided it was distrust of a new member.

For three years Gaido remained a loyal and quiet comrade to those six shinobi, but time had warped that loyalty. Gaido loathed the men he called comrades, however none did he despise more than Raiga. The seven swords did more than carry out a job they made bloody spectacles of everything. One day Gaido could take no more.

They had been ordered to slaughter a village, and Raiga began by charging with a cackle into a group of children. That instant Gaido's disgust got the best of him. In a flash he impeded Raiga and shouted, "Enough! This isn't a game, kill them and move on!" A deep laughter erupted from Raiga before he retorted. "So the orphan wants to tell me what to do now? Let me tell you runt I was one of the shinobi that slaughtered your parents, but you wouldn't know about that because your nothing more than mists experiment. Now you have two choices shut up and obey like a good little lab rat, or be killed by your creator."

Gaido knew he was no match for all six other swordsman, but he could remain a pawn no longer. He did have one advantage however he was byfar the fastest of the seven swords. Gaido jumped back about twenty feet and weaved a string of signs. At that moment six swordsman drew their blade and pursued the traitor, only to to met by thirty Raiton clones. The clones only took a few seconds to clear, but in that time Gaido was at least two hundred yards away. "Damn, it'll take forever to catch that runt. We'll burn the traitor when we're done here," Raiga spat.

For four years Gaido escaped Raiga, but one day their paths crossed again. While traveling through a forest Gaido stumbled across a great battle. Two cloud joining squared off with Raiga and we're near defeat. A cackle emerged from Raiga as always when he felt he won, but Gaido knew that ment his guard was down. In a flash Gaido had beheaded him and turned to the other ninja. "I am Gaido Arashino, I simply intervened because of my past with that man. Your free to do as you please." The older of the two kumogakure shinobi spoke first, "That shinobi you just killed was an S ranked ninja, a seven swords member to boot perhaps we can convince you to accompany us back to our village and collect his bounty?" Gaido paused for a moment, he had no reason to distrust these shinobi but it still made him uneasy to have companions again. "A reward you say we'll I suppose I could use it, but be warned I'm just as skilled as that shinobi if not more. Crossing me will not end well for you." The older ninja smiled and replied, " oh you don't have to worry about that, in all honesty I was hopeing to offer you our village as home. We'd have to talk to the Raikage but he'll gladly welcome someone who saved his subordinates. Anyway we haven't introduced ourselves yet I'm Kai and my comrade here is Noata, were forme Kumogakure."

After spending a few days in Kumogakure Gaido had decided to stay and serve as a hidden cloud ninja. His past with the mist was a concern to the Raikage, however in the end he decided that the death of on of his former teammates warranted a chance to prove his new allegiance. Gaido was assigned to replace a felled member of Kai's squad and both Kia and Boats were given orders to survey him. After five years of this the Raikage appointed him the leader of the squad, and in only another two years from that Gaido's team became the Raikage's best squad.

After a year of doing the Raikage's toughest missions without fail, the trio became famous in kumogakure. Almost every villager and shinobi in the village had hearTd of their exploits, and it was well known that the next Raikage was among that team. The now 37 year old shinobi had finally became what he'd always wanted, respected. More than that he belonged.

Unfortunately in the heat of this success he'd expirence his first great loss. A council had requested the Raikage's attendance so the Raikage set out with Kai, Noata, and Gaido as guards. Halfway to the destination they were ambushed by thirty unidentified shinobi and during the long battle the Raikage and Kai were fatally wounded.

For a week Gaido spoke to no-one and wallowed in his failure, but he would not be allowed to continue like this as the feudal lords had chosen him as the Raikage's successor. It took alot of encouraging from Noata but he eventually rose to the task and became the new Raikage.
